Girl's Active and Spa Weekend in the northeast

Does any one have recommendations on where to go for my sister's 50th Birthday?
6-8 Women who love to be active (hiking, biking, etc.). We also want a good spa and great cocktails. We'd love to go somewhere that is 1-3 hours driving distance from Southern CT. Thinking Hudson Valley, Berkshires, Catskills, ???? We are looking at the Mohonk in Hudson Valley. Any other suggestions? Maybe not as pricey, but almost as nice?
