Indeed! I have never before heard of such a thing like an eyelash curler, let alone felt any need to use one...

I don't think even TSA would consider that a dangerous weapon.

I know it's a lame question but I vaguely remember something about them not being allowed in carry on when they first began all this stuff. It had to go into checked luggage.

I'll take your word for it, but I'm pretty sure that's not true now.

Call your airline to confirm or read TSA's current regulations on the website, is the most sure bet to confirm.

Much more difficult imho than an eyelash curler is making the 1 qt. baggie for all liquid toiletries restriction. I've done it, but it's not easy for any trip more than a few days (again just my opinion).

Once I mistakenly pcked my make up bag in my carry on. This was a few years ago, definitely after 2001. I had an eyelash curler in it and they didn't confiscate it. They did however take a very small set of scissors. I now pack my make up bag in my carry on - LOL!

TSA has backed off some of their old regulations and added others. The best place to look is on TSA's website close to your trip and make sure nothing you are carrying on is on their prohibited list.

I don't think an eyelash curler would be on it but it's hard to imagine eyelash curlers included as part of an overall pack-light strategy.

LOL - On the pack light issue!

I'm the self-proclaimed pack light queen and take fab mascara that I love instead of a lash curler.

That being said, I've taken mine for business travel without causing a National TSA incident. I didn't even put it in the quart zip baggie.

mom23rugrats: what's the brand of the fabulous mascara? Does it REALLY curl those eyelashes?
Thanks!

It's Borghese. It does NOT curl them, but is very rich and thick without clumping.
