Eurail - Pass or Point to Point - Help!

Hello, I am trying to plan a two week backpacking trip and am having trouble understanding which is the best rail pass (or point to point) to purchase.

Our itinerary is as follows:

Arrive in London - 2 days
Eurostar to Brussels - Eurail to Amsterdam - Stay 2 days
Overnight from Amsterdam to Berlin - Stay 2 days
Overnight from Berlin to Rome - Stay 4 days
Overnight from Rome to Paris - Stay 3 days
Eurostar from Paris to London - 1 day
Leave from London

Will it be better to get the Eurail select pass or would it get better to get point-to-point tickets?

Also we are having trouble figuring out how to make the reservations. We are going from July 5th - July 19th so I dont know if we need to make the Rail reservations before we leave for london or if we will be okay waiting until we get there?

Any help would be much appreciated!!
