Charging batteries with an outlet adapter

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are traveling to Spain in a couple of weeks. We are bringing our digital cameras, but we are not sure if using an outlet adapter is safe for the batteries . Is it safe to use an outlet adapter to charge the camera batteries? When I was in Italy I used an adapter with a US hairdryer and the dryer never worked again. Any other suggestions?
