I hope it's not in too bad of form to shill one's own travel report, but the Latin America section doesn't seem to get a lot of visitors and I had such a good time, I'd like to share it.

It is a wonderful report, Amy. I enjoyed every word, especially about beautiful Panama.
Sounds like an amazing trip!!! I enjoyed reading it! I posted a trip report on the Latin America board last year and not one single reply! It's hard to brag about your trip if no one will take notice! LOL!
Thanks! It was an amazing trip. I was a dedicated Europhile, with trips yearly to various spots in mostly western Europe, but I've been loving my time in Central and South America as well as in Asia lately. (Yes, this has something to do with the euro/dollar exchange rate...)
Hurrah for holidays...I finally got the Panama pix sorted and captioned. (To be honest, they're not great, 'cause my photo developing dude left the shop and I haven't found a good replacement, so I'm going digital) but anyway, for anyone dreaming of a little warm weather, have fun!

I had to smile at your first post. I just did a long detailed one on the Australia section, and there aren't as many visitors there either (Have had replies, which is fine, I just hope someone can benefit from it in the future).
I'm glad you reposted with your photo link so that I saw both the original link, and the photo link. Love the shell-decorated house!
Happy New Year!
Cool trip report! My dad's always wanted to take my mom to see the Panama Canal, so we're doing it this April, but on a cruise ship. Still should be fun. I can't wait.
If they like it enough, we may head over on our own...
Great photos, Amy. Brought back some happy memories of my youth in Panama. Toboga used to be a great day trip for us.
mcnyc, you would love Panama. Great scenery, great food, and shopping!
mcnyc, we could be on the same ship...leaving Ft Lauderdale on 4/15?
