Adrenaline Rush

Tonight I bought my airline tickets for my summer trip. As I was getting ready to push the "Purchase" button, I got a major adrenaline rush.

I started thinking about those specific moments when that rush hits for me and I think "it's real now, I'm actually going - it's not just a pipe dream":

the flight purchase
the take off
the walking out of the arrival airport

What are the adrenaline rush moments for you?

whitewater rafting in a class IV-V which requires the use of a guide to maneuver. the other time is having plane ticket to another country and not having a single hotel reservation.

Oh boy, I think arriving at the airport and thinking, this is really happening!! Then again when the plane lands at my final destination and knowing I'm on another journey of discovery and joy.

Mine is similar to Linda's above. Leaving my house and being at the departure airport, finally sitting on the plane, takeoff(!), and of course the arrival airport then being IN the new place.

Once I'm seated on the plane. Luggage is stowed, and I can relax until I get to my destination. But, buying the ticket and making hotel reservations is pretty close.

LOL toedtoes, I know the feeling!

It starts for me when the shuttle arrives and picks me up to take me to the airport!

And walking out of the arrival airport..OH YES!!

I've been really tempted to kiss the ground outside the airport, but I hold back just in case they see me and want to send me back home...

For me the rush, too, is when I order the plane tickets. Usually because I am doing it on a whim and probably late at night when I just decide to go on a trip and go for it on line.

The second rush is when I walk out of the airport, my luggage has made the trip with me all the way, I landed safely and I am embarking on a new adventure right outside the doors.

Whether I am with someone or not, I always let out a cheer!
