10th Anniversary Trip Ideas

Our 10th Anniversary is coming up in 2016. My husband and I would like to take a trip during the summer to celebrate it, but we are struggling with ideas. As much as we'd love to go to Europe like we've done in the past, he just doesn't feel comfortable going over there right now, so that takes Europe out. For our Honeymoon, we did British Columbia, Canada, which was beautiful. We are looking at a Wed - Sunday trip, so 4 nights. Due to it being in the summer, we'd prefer it not to be a location that is going to be blazing hot. We want somewhere we can relax, but at the same time, I don't want to be bored. We are considering anything at this point (mountains or beaches), just want it to be romantic. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Forgot to mention, we are in our early 40's and will be coming from Atlanta, if that helps. Budget wise, we can fly anywhere for free (he works for an airline), so airline cost is not an issue.

I really don't think you should be too worried about Europe, certainly not all of it. However, if you want to stay this side of the Atlantic, how about Nova Scotia?

Dunton Hot Springs - close to Telluride, Colorado. I haven't stayed but it's supposed to be a beautiful spot. Summer would be gorgeous - http://duntonhotsprings.com/

Post Ranch Inn on Big Sur. Another spot I'd go if I could afford it!!!

Canon Beach, OR

Best idea in Bali Indonesia if you want to escape from the heat of the sun. You can have in Alila Ubud which is the dream destination for couples like you and known for its natural riches. This is considered among the best and most exotic hotels and boats for one of the best pool experiences in the world.

Santa Fe NM. Fly to Albuquerque -ABQ - and drive an hour north. There are some really romantic hotels and great restaurants. Museums, nature, shopping, spectacular scenery.... Plenty to fill 4 days. Or if you like spas, Ten Thousand Waves, not far from SF.

I would also use The United Stats Forum/Board on here for no since this one gets little traffic. Use the drop down menu above to Chang forums.
