Hi, I'm considering using Wow!Argentina for an upcoming trip to Argentina. As they require a fee just to plan the trip, I'd like to hear any recent experiences with this company. I've seen recommendations, but they're all years old. The agent at Wow!Argentina that I'm corresponding with is Romina Menditto. Any advice about using this agency?
Thanks in advance!

Trip Ideas
We used them last April and were very pleased. The "fee" is just a deposit that will be applied to the cost of your trip. After all, they (and other travel agents) are going to some trouble researching and planning your itinerary. They just want to make sure you are serious about using their services and not just "using" them. We found WOW! Argentina to be very professional and responsive to our needs. Yes, we would use them again.
I sent an email with brief question and received no reply. I have done some research and they are probably fine as long as you are wanting five star hotels and extensive travel planning. My needs were much more basic i.e. 5 star hotel in BA and some sightseeing...apparently it was not enough for them and others have echoed those thoughts. If t hey replied to you then your potential itinerary must meet their criteria. I don't like companies that just don't reply and say they do not want to help you rather than ignoring. Good luck
I suggest you read this recent thread: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threadselect.jsp?fid=6&tid=35096545
Hi Cindy
I highly recommend WOW Argentina. We used them for our trip in April 2007. I sent them an outline of our proposed itinerary. WOW made some suggestions, all of which turned out to be terrific. You get full service, from very knowledgeable people, at no cost over what you can get on your own, and in some cases lower cost. I thought they were very flexible. We stayed in 4 star hotels. One of their recommendations, the Estancia Alta Vista in the El Calafate area, was a highlight of our trip.

I used WOW! Argentina for my trip to Bariloche and Buenos Aires in Nov. 2006. They exceeded all my expectations, quickly rescheduled me when my flight delays made connections and challenge, guided me in some excellent hotel choices and did it all promptly and professionally. I would use them again if I were to return to Argentina.
Thank you to all of you for your replies! Much appreciated!
I have other queries, but I'll post as separate threads.
I'll keep checking this thread in case anyone else wants to join in. I'm impressed with this forum!
We used Cintia of Wow Argentina a couple of years ago. Excellent service. We made our own reservations for the hotel in B.A. (bcause of certain discounts that I had available to me) and just used her for the flights from B.A. to Iguazu and then on to Sao Paulo. She also made our hotel reservation at Iguazu. Even tho she did not make much of a commission from our trip, she gave us a lot of personal attention in planning the trip and i loved the fact that she personally delivered our plane tickets to us at our hotel in B.A.
Thank you, Cindy!
We love it when someone is impressed!! LOL!!!
Keep the questions coming!
I'm sure you'll have a great trip!
