Trip Ideas
On Callao and Pueyrredon are Frappé wine shops.. as well as on Parana near Arenales.

There are a couple of big wine stores called the Winery with food served, I have not been in those but see them ..
There are stores called Al Queso Queso, they sell wine, grocery stores sell wine, you will not have trouble finding wine to buy
We were in a convinience store in Recoleta that had a pretty impressive wine selection. We sebsequently noticed that the same bottle that we bought there was a bit more expensive at a specialty wine shop on Santa Fe. Sorry, I can't give any directions. You won't be thirsty.
Weve been here(in BA) for a week ...while I do realize we wont be thirsty
and we have bought lots of wine ....we dont seem to be able to find a wine store with avery knowledgable staff.
I think there is one that was recommended that started with an "L" something like Ligery ? Its supposed to be the place to find special wines(as if they all arent).
Try http://www.terroir.com.ar/e_home_.htm
I don't exactly get on very well with the owner, but his wines MAY be good and he is probably knowledgeable, which I'm certainly not! LOL!!!
Oops! I forgot to point out that Terroir is in Belgrano, not in the Recoleta.
Thanks all .....we passed tge one I had heard of today...I think its Liger...on Avenida las Heras just after Austria going toward Palermo...I'll let you know how it is..I'm going Monday prior to going home to the ole US of A!
Tonight off to Esquine Carlos Gardel...we wne t to an underground supper club last night ...Diego Felix in Chacarita...FAB! Tomorrow brunch at Alvear Palae, La Boca , San Telmo and then to see Boca Jrs....this is a great country!
I'm glad you are having a good time in our town with your hubby, pougal!
Of course, we expect a full trip report, with all the juicy details, when time permits.
Have a good trip back to the good ole USA and come back soon!
