Hello all, couple of questions.
For some reason its pretty difficult to find a good hotel for a descent price in Santiago.
Because of lack of Spanish i'm looking for a higher class B&B or a boutique hotel so we have locals who can help us with our traveling questions. Also, trying to avoid mainstream hotel chains.
Most places are apartments for rent with limited access to human resources.
I found from what it looks like a great B&B, Casa Moro but they do not have air conditioning, im thinking this will be a problem in mid-November, no?
Also, could you please give suggestions on barrios to stain in and maybe even hotels if someone can recommend something.

I stayed with a friend in late November 2010 in Santiago and lack of a/c was not a problem. She lived in a high rise apt. bldg. and the breeze from open windows was plenty, even had to shut them at night.
Air conditioning is not that common in Chile. Large chain hotels will have it but most places make do with fans. It is never hot at night, no matter how hot the day, although staying in the center of town it will be hotter.
