Visa application logjam at Houston Brazillian Consulate's office

Jump to last reply

planning trip to Rio 6/25-7/5. Me and 6 others in my family. Half of us are in TN so we could mail our visa requests to ATL and those are cooking. Other half are in TX and must go to Hosuton, and are being told the earliest appointment is 16 June. This is wierd, since applications earlier than 4/5 would have risked the Visa 90 day window expiring prior to our return. Would prefer to avoid the expense of working with an agency. Does any one have any other suggested work-arounds? many thanks
