vaccinations and other info

Wondering about any vaccinations recommended for travel to Merida Venezuela.
My daughter will be studying there for 6 weeks. The CDC recommends everythng under the sun and I am wondering if that is truly necessary.
Any other travel advise would be greatly appreciated, we are completely unfamiliar with Venezuela. Thanks!!
