Uruguay in November

we are planning a 9 day trip in mid November and are thinking about going to buenos aires for a few days and then to uruguay. Most likely itinerary will be Carmelo- Jose Ignacio - punto Diablo- Montevideo. We are from nyc. I'm a little worried Uruguay in this shoulder season will be dead and that we should consider another South American destination. Any thoughts? I

Yes, it will most likely "be dead", but I would much rather go at that time rather than in January, when is it crazy.

We were there in November a few years ago and I don't recall it being "dead". We only visited Montevideo, Colonia and Salto but enjoyed it.

Other thoughts; salta and the northwest, Iguazu?
