We (3) will be arriving on the last Sunday morning in June at the Santiago, Chile airport. We are looking for a tour, shuttle, or other transportation from the airport and back to our hotel in Santiago after a one or more night stay in in Valparaiso or Vina del Mar. We are senior adults and will have luggage containing business clothes for a meeting in Santiago the following week.
We will be very tired from an overnight flight. Since we cannot get into our hotel in Santiago until afternoon, we thought we might go on to the coast rather than going there later in the week on a day tour. Since we will be very tired, trying to go to a bus terminal to catch a bus may be too much.
Any help appreciated!

We arrived at teh airport after a 5 hour flight from Arica (it stopped at every airport along the way!) and got the bus directly from the airport to Valaparaiso which was very straightforward and it took us to the bus station in Valpofrom whee we got a taxi to our B&B.The journey took 90mins or so and the scenery along the way was quite beautful. Ithink they leave every 20 mins or so but you should check that.
There are also minibuses which are more expensive and leave less frequently. Taxis of course will take you door to door but will be the most expensive option (may work ok if there are a number of you)
crellston, what bus company is that? i was told there is not direct bus from airport to Valpo only to Vin del Mar. For Valpo I was advised to get to the Santiago bus terminal and catch the bus.

shoonye - Sorry, but I have misled you! I just looked back in my travel journal and we got the bus from Pajaritos Metro Station which is only a few minutes away from the airport. When leaving the building there is waiting area for Centropuerto Buses -Metro Linea Bus #1 will take you to the Metro Station in just a few minutes (just like a shuttle bus really).
The companies going to Valparaiso are Pullman and Tur Bus. Valpo is on the way to Vina and all buses seemed to stop at valpo en route
What bus goes from Santiago airport directly to Vin del Mar?
Vina del Mar is only about 20 mins from Valaparaiso so I think it is probable that all buses from Santiago will stop at Valpo en route.
I would not recommend taking the bus if you have a long flight and are at all unsure about it. You certainly don´t want to do it with more than light luggage. I would either contact your hotel and see if they cannot give you early check in. Otherwise, have a look through this and other travel forums to find names of drivers others have used.
Just to get some information added to this:
There are 2 buses which go from the airport to the Pajaritos metro station and beyond, Centropuerto and Turbus. Turbus has luggage storage underneath and Centropuerto is more like a city bus.
From Pajaritos metro station there are buses to both Viña del Mar and Valparaiso. They are NOT the same bus. It is one or the other. The destination is clearly marked on the front of each bus. About 5 bus lines do the two routes. It takes between 1.5 - 2 hours depending on traffic.
There are no buses directly from the airport to anywhere in Chile except into Santiago. A taxi (taken from the official taxi desk inside customs) will run between 120-140 dollars one way to Viña del Mar or Valparaiso.
Leonardo Cuzmar is a bilingual private driver I used two days ago to travel from Valparaiso to Santiago. He is very conscientious and has a good command of English. The cost for transportation plus a day of sightseeing was $100/pp for two people. Total = $200.
