Transfer/tour from Valparaiso to Santiago

We are ending a cruise in Valparaiso in January 2010 and are looking into transfers from the pier to Santiago. We have been in touch with a company called southexcursions.com who offer these services and offer a competitive price for picking us up at the pier, touring Valparaiso, Vino del Mar, a winery stop, a tour of Santiago with a drop off at either hotel or airport in Santiago. This is an 8 hour tour with an English speaking guide. We're wondering if anyone has used this company and can recommend them?

I have not used them as I am local, but have heard they are good. They also have vans for people with limited mobility (scooters and wheelchairs) and it is in this context that I heard about them. The level of English of the guide was very good. They are a relatively new company and this may be why their prices are a bit lower and there is not that much information out there about them.

I too will be needing a transfer from Valparaiso to Santiago, but will need to go directly to the airport in Santiago to catch flight out to Easter Island. Does anyone know if there is service that doesn't take 8 hours to tour winery?
And what would be the cost?
Thanks for any further info.

I have the same situation...getting to Santiago for a late flight. Did you book the tour with this company? It sounds like a much better "deal" than some of the others.

I am wondering if Arielle (or anyone else) took this tour and could report to us how things went. We are scheduled for our post cruise tour on the 23rd of February. Thanks very much.
