I can recommend Adventure Holidays Peru, the Cusco-based company that we worked with for our April trip ... the owner/manager helped us organize the entire two-week trip with a custom itinerary designed to meet our needs - my quick report is here: http://www.fodors.com/community/south-america/trip-report-guide-recommendation.cfm. There's a lot more at my blog site (see link in the referenced post). The original link to the AHP website is broken, so here it is again if you decide to check them out: http://www.adventureholidaysperu.com/.
I should point out that Vidal is a licensed Inca Trail guide. If you do a search on his name, you'll find two others who worked with him for their recent trips.
roberth - I responded to your question on the other thread (advice - top 10). good luck!
I would be surprised if you can book an Inca Trail tour for August at this point. It's recommended to have your tour booked at least 6 months in advance. That said, we used http://www.andeanexplorerscusco.com/index.en.html for our trip earlier this year and were very pleased with the guides and porters.
A few months ago I guided an american couple in Buenos Aires who used WOW for their trip to Perú, Chile and Argentina. They were really satisfied with this travel company, they were very helpful, organizing the trip was very easy and everything ran smoothly during the trip.
I think the website is www.wowperu.com.ar
