Good morning. Wanted to let you know that I was finally successful in securing the newly available Gol Airpasses for my husband and I!
Why did it matter that we get the Gol Airpass? Because it includes Fernando de Noronha--a notoriously expensive destination in Brazil that the TAM airpass does not include. Also, the GOL airpass is cheaper than the TAM airpass if you aren't flying on TAM. For 1-4 legs, GOL costs US$532 per person while TAM charges US$635 if you fly on a non-TAM airline.
Holli Franchi at BrazilNuts was the only travel agent (and I called MANY) persistent enough to figure out how to do it. Here is her contact information:

Does the GOL pass, like the TAM pass, require a coupon for each leg of a flight? For example, to fly from Rio to Manaus we had to go by way of Sao Paolo and that required two TAM coupons.
Hi--yes, you need a coupon for each leg. We used 4 coupons to fly from Sao Paolo to Cuiaba (1) to Fernando de Noronha (2) to Recife (1). Still much less expensive than purchasing separate one-way tickets even on the cheapest airlines.
Hi,
