Starting from Arequipa to Nasca, Huachachina, Ballestas Island, Lima

We will be in Arequipa on 11th of August. And on 12th night, we plan to leave by bus to see
Nasca lines, the desert, Ballestas Island and finally Lima from where we are returning home on 16th of August in the evening. We would like to have one free day in Lima for sightseeing so we must be in Lima on 15th night.
This gives us 3 days to complete the lines, desert and the island.
1-) For Arequipa is 1,5 days enough?
2-) The bus from Arequipa goes to Nasca but continues to Ica from there I suppose. Should we stay in Nasca and do the flight from there or should we base ourselves in a hotel near Ica or Huachachina and do Nasca and desert tours from there?
3-) Do you have any other points, suggestions for us?
