I need domestic flights within Brazil, I will spend two nights in Sao Paulo and I am very confused which is the best airport to fly in/out of. I know the city has three different airports. Ideally I'd like to fly on non stop flights (from Salvador to Sao Paulo and Sao Paulo to Iguacu). I plan on staying in the Jardins District. Which is the best airport to fly to? I am finding flights from Salvador to GRU and CGH and for the flight to Iguacu I have a choice of GRU or VCP. I am arriving on a Friday and I have read Sao Paulo's traffic can be terrible on weekdays. My departure day is Sunday so I'm hoping the traffic isnt' too much of a problem on Sunday. I will require a transfer from the airport to my hotel and vice versa. I don't mind spending more on flights if that reduces overall travel time between the city and the airport.
Sao Paulo, which airport?

Flights at the domestic in-city sirports (in Rio, B.H. S.P.)are usually more expensive, but of course you won't have to pay for taxis to/from the international ones at a distance from the city. You'll have to check fares and schedules online and decide what works for you. Just note that VCP is way out of town as well.
If you don't mind more on flights to reduce the travel time from the city to the airport, book your flight from Salvador to CGH, which is less than 6 or 7 miles away from Jardins district (about half an hour drive on weekdays, depending on traffic conditions). Flights from SP to Iguaçu only operate from GRU Intl airport (about 23 miles from Jardins), but as you leave on Sunday you should take about 45 min. to get to the airport. VCP is the airport serving the city of Campinas, 60 miles away from SP - at least an hour by car - so you should only consider that if airfares are a great deal. Most of the flights from SSA and to IGU are non stop. Enjoy your stay in SP!
