Have you tried contacting the hotels? Because many hotels have rooms available that you do not see through hotel search engines such as Booking.com.

Anyway, you may try to find hotel rooms in Olinda, which happens to be a nice town, or Jaboatão dos Guararapes. These would be my last options, though. I would keep trying to find a hotel room in Recife, or you'll lose too much time in traffic jam.

Thanks LuadeMochila, I have called the hotels and everything seems to be full even in Olinda. I have found 2 in São Lourenço da Mata, do you think is safe staying there??

Don't know about that city, I'm sorry.

Try to send an email as well. Spoken english is harder for us to understand than written.
