Puerto Montt Emerald Lake Cruise

I was told by a friend that they spent the day on a catamaran on Lake Emerald and it was awesome. Is there such a tour. I can't find anything on it. Would love to have a wonderful day in Puerto Montt as that is all we have. thank. Betty

That was probably a day trip to Peulla on lake Todos los Santos. Apparently people in the tourist trade have taken to calling it Lago Esmeralda because of the colour (when the sun is out). That is why you couldn't find it.

When will you be in Puerto Montt...I might be able to help you out for a sail. I have a 12 metre yacht which I use for occasional sailing cruises in the Seno Relonvaci...the bay in Puerto Montt.

The cruise to Peulla was absolutely breathtaking, but it also requires good weather to be able to view the Cordillera and the volcanoes. A stop at Los Saltos del Petrohue is worth the time. The water of this river is just as beautifully emerald colored as the Lago Todos los Santos. We made a stop there on the way to board the catamaran.

The $ sign is used for many currencies. Dollars would be indicated by US$ outside of the USA. The price on the website is in local currency, Chilean pesos. So it is $30,000 or just under US$62.00.

Thanks Huentetu! That makes more sense. I don't think I saw that there was an extra 0.
