Please help me to plan amazing 3 weeks in Argentina during December
Hello All,
I have never seen that website and it is great, I read other posts about 3 weeks in Argentina, but I would really appreciate your help for my specific trip. We are a couple getting to BA on the beginning of December for 3 weeks. What we love and who we are:
1. We prefer to be in less places but more time and with less schedule pressure.
2. Food
3. Road trip, small towns and amazing views.
We have about $ 3,000- 4,000 to spend there in 3 weeks.
This is our honeymoon, I really want it to be great so thanks thanks for all of you.
Arik

Oh, a honeymoon trip to Argentina ! Congratulations on your coming marriage, and on planning a most romantic honeymoon destination.
Just as a preliminary suggestion, based in what you wrote above: I would definitely suggest one week in Buenos Aires and one week in the gorgeous, interesting Northwest. Then, pick one other major area (from your reading or suggestions from others on this Forum) or two shorter trips ( eg, Iguazu Falls, San Antonio de Areco with a stay at an estancia, Tigre or others). Also, consider driving along the coast in Uruguay for a few days...another really nice roadtrip from Montevideo.
Then come back to a different barrio in BA for your last couple of nights.

Given your criteria ( albeit limited info) and budget I would go with Marnies suggestion of a week in BA and a week in the northwest renting a car and driving a circuit of the area from Salta. Iguazu is definitely worthy of consideration ( takes a couple of days) as is Patagonia, maybe the Perito. More a Glacier, El Chatelen. Flights are expensive though so Check how big a hole in your budget the latter would make.
Tigre makes a nice day trip from BA as does Colonia in Uruguay.
Some photos of these places when we visited five years ago are on our blog
http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blo...ai/1/tpod.html entries 70 on cover Argentina
And our more recent visit to salta last month

Do check the posts here and elsewhere re the "blue dollar" unofficial forex rate as a way of reducing costs in Argentina . Congrats on your forthcoming wedding BTW!
