Need day trip/guide suggestions from Puerto Ayora, Galapagos
Thanks to much research on this forum I have booked our spring break trip in March to the Galapagos on a bit of a whim! So excited. It will be myself, husband and our 10-year old son. (I know most recommend a boat-based trip, but I opted for land-based due to a vestibular syndrome I have... the thought of staying on a boat a super long time makes me nauseous just thinking about it). We will be in Puerto Ayora staying at the Cucuve Suites. What suggestions do you have for specific day tours or tour companies to use? I want to book in advance now so that hopefully availability isn't an issue for any specific tour we might want. I'm pretty open as to what we see... just want to get a chance to explore the various parts of the island area. Anything involving a long/tedious hike might not be best since I have trouble with long distances due to hip issues. Thanks for any advice.
On a side note, our plan is as follows, if helpful:
Arrive on a Friday night: flight arrives in Quito, spend night at Hotel Patio Andaluz
next morning Saturday: leave Quito on morning flight and check in to Cucuve Suites hotel, Puerto Ayora. Spend 5 full days on island.
Friday: leave Puerto Ayora, arrive Guayaquil around 3PM and spend night at Wyndham
Saturday: early morning flight home
Thanks very much!

You can walk around Puerto Ayora and set trips when you arrive the first day. There are tons of brokers to book from and there are a lot of trips/boats going to the same or similar spots. Not sure what you want to do but if you are planning on snorkeling I would rent a wet suit. We took a tour to Daphne Minor and Daphne Major, Pinson and Bartolome. We would have gone to others if we had time. There were lots of options. Working on my trip report now, details will be there. Enjoy your trip!
