More or less our Argentina itinerary. Should we change anything?

The itinerary is starting to take shape, I was a bit stuck as I was hoping that the flight price would come down from Iguazu to Salta and am happy to say that it did so we can now move on and get everything else booked. If there's something any of you think I should change please feel free to give your opinions.

Sat 8th Arrive in Rio
Sun 9th - Rio
Mon- 10th - Rio
Tue - 11th Flight to Iguazu, Arr. 12.35. leave our luggage at the visitor centre and visit the Brazilian side, take a taxi to the Argentina side, stay 2 nights at a hotel still to be booked
Wed - 12th Iguazu
Thur - 13th flight to Salta, Arr. 11.40am check into hotel and visit Salta, pick up a hire car for 4 or 5 days.
Fri - 13th Drive to Purmamarca, visit the salt flats, overnight in Purmamarca
Sat 14th - Drive to Salta after a visit to the Hill of 7 colours via Humahuaca, Uquia and Tilcara.Overnight in Salta
Sun - 15th Drive to Cachi, visit the town, overnight in Cachi
Mon - 16th Drive to Cafayate, visit the town (we have no interest in visiting a winery) overnight in Cafayate.
Tue - 17th Drive to Salta, overnight bus to Cordoba
Wed - 18th Cordoba, overnight stay in Cordoba
Thur - 19th Cordoba, overnight bus to Mendoza
Fri - 20th Mendoza
Sat - 21st visit Mendoza, overnight bus to Buenos aires
Sun - 22nd Visit buenos aires
Mon - 23rd Buenos Aires
Tues - 24th Buenos aires
Wed - 25th Ferry to Mondevideo, overnight in Montevideo
Thur - 26th Montevideo to Punta del Este by bus, overnight Punta del Este
Fri - 27th Punta del Este to Buenos aires via Colonia, overnight in Buenos aires
Sat - 28th Buenos aires
Sun - 29th Buenos aires
Mon 30th - flight home.

We haven't booked anything yet other than the 2 flights so can change anything, Is there something that we should leave out, spend more time somewhere?
I haven't really done much research on Uruguay because it was something I decided to add a few days ago, maybe we should stay a night in Colonia on the way back to Buenos Aires. This year we decided to concentrate on the North as we thought trying to do both north and south would have been too much in the time we had but we are planning on returning again next year to do the South so we will be passing through Buenos Aires again and will stay a few days so bearing that in mind we could spend a night or 2 less there and add it on somewhere else.

We are leaving in 2 weeks so better get my skates on so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I won't tackle the whole itinerary, but here are some suggestions:
In Cordoba, the boutique hotel Azul Real is lovely. I spent a long weekend there last October and had a great time. In the Cordoba area, you really need a day to see the city and a day to visit the UNESCO estancias outside the city. If you aren't into wine, I would skip Mendoza and spend more time in Cordoba.
In Buenos Aires my must sees/dos are Recoleta Cemetary, MALBA, strolling the parks, Evita Museo (with lunch or dinner in the cafe there), empanadas at El Sanjuanino, one of the street fairs (my favorite is Mataderos followed by Plaza Francia and San Telmo).
Have a wonderful trip!

Looks good to me! Only comments are:
-5 rather than 4 days for the Salta drive

- suggest staying at Finca la Paya Cachi - it is about 8kms outside of town but well worth it

-On arrival in Salta, visit the Tourist Info booth in the centre. We picked up a free map for the drive which proved invaluable, far better than the guide books

- Montevideo is great but I would also try and fit in a night in Colonia

Have fun - I am jealous!!

Thanks everybody, great tips qwovadis, Im getting really excited. I will add a day to the Salta drive and a night in colonia and take 2 nights off BA as we will be returning next year. Finca La Paya looks great so will definitely try to stay there. Have not done any research yet into Mendoza if it's just wine country with nothing else to visit then I think we'll skip it and add on a day in Cordoba, I'm planning to get everything sorted out this weekend but might come back to ask more questions if I get stuck with something.

You are moving around a lot, but I guess that way you'll see a lot too! I wasn't crazy about the city of Mendoza itself, but really liked the suburbs and a day in the Andes is worth it for the scenery alone, besides the wineries there is hiking, white water rafting and the Andes....

We also really enjoyed the Northwest, make sure you see Tilcara too when you're in that neck of the woods.

Have a great trip!

My itinerary was: Rio 4n, Iguassu 3n, El Calafate 3n, Ushuaia 3n, BA 4n. The best of all was El Calafate and I regret I stay just 2 days but next time I'll stay for longtime. You have a lot of day trips from there like the All Glacier Boat day tour, the Perito Moreno half day tour, and Cueva de los Manos a UNESCO World Heritage Site . If you like trekking you can go to the Perito Moreno Glacier. If you have more time you can do a trip to Torres del Paine in Chile.
About Montevideo, I was not so impressioned about it. Do not buy the day trip organized by Buquebus. You can take the ferry (Buquebus) and visit by yourself the center of MonteDVD. And try do not make this on the week-end. http://www.vazzzaaa.blogspot.com/201...argentina.html
