Was just there the women are lots prettier
than the dodgier city...
Did fine there for $50/da at Hotel Toscana
So might bring $2-3K to be safe for a month.
If you hostel/shoestring/street food half that
No fee visa www.capitalone.com works lots better
than large wads of cash theft risk.
www.insuremytrip.com always wise.
Happy Journey,
Hi, I will be in Cali end of February, also on my first trip to Colombia (and to South America). After all that I read on Colombia, I gather that - just like anywhere in the world - there is no standfard budget, it all depends on how you want to live. You can enjoy yourself in luxury places, but more often in in cheaper places. As the previous cobtributor already said: I would be more worried about carrying large amount of cash along. Make sure that your bank or credit card gets you the needed cash regularly from ATMs.
