Making connecting flight in SCL after flying in internationally

I'm trying to fly into SCL and then onward to Punta Arenas. I'm scheduled to land at SCL at 7:05am from US and there is an 8:40am sky airline flight to punta arenas.

Is it feasible to make this connection? Will I first have to go through immigration and customs and then head back into airport? Or can I head straight to my connection and go through immigration and customs upon arrival in Punta Arenas?

Thanks for any help in navigating the process!
