Luggage weight on Arg Aerolineas

The travelers on this site were very helpful in advising me while I planned my 6-week trip in late Nov and early Dec: Chile, north to south, 18-day Antarctic cruise, ending with BA and Iguassu for a few days. Now I am down to the challenge of packing for desert, mountains, cities, and climbing in and out of zodiacs. The airlines has a weight limit of 15 kilos/33pounds. How rigidly is that enforced?

Forgot to add - at the moment, I am planning to use a 26" wheeled duffel.

Expect that it will be weighed and checked. Also watch out for carryon sizes..much stricter than we are used to. Consider bringing a duffle for shifting carryon into.

The carry on limit is 5k/11pounds. I will use my lightweight daypack for that and when I am checking bags I don't have much carry on. I guess I will think in terms of 44 pounds in total and divide accordingly for those flights.

In summary, I was overweight on both checked luggage and carry on. And - no one cared! No extra charges.

My experience in October 2016 is that they weighed my checked suitcase but did not charge extra, and didn't weigh my heavy carry-on. I saw people carrying on large suitcases, so I think MyBaggage's experience is more like what you are going to encounter.

Oops--didn't see that MYBaggage was the OP! Good to see that you experienced no problems.
