Lima-Paracas-Nazca: in 1 day?
I am planning on leaving Lima on an early morning bus to Pisco-Paracas (I am arriving in Lima the night before). I'd like to take the morning boat tour of Islas Ballestas and continue on to Nazca (by bus) in the evening. Is this realistic? Should I just head straight for Nazca instead? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Long awaited travel dates are fast approaching!!

Thanks! Which is the earliest bus out of Lima? And how long is the ride to Paracas? I won't be spending the night in Paracas, so any ideas where I can store my luggage for a few hours?....As for bus tickets, is an advance purchase required? Thanks again!
And thanks quowadis for the Nazca flight link. I'll send them an e-mail.

Unless they've changed things the first bus leaves at 4:55 am. You'll want to be on that one. Check in (very similar to flying) starts at 4:30. They give a very small little snack. You'll get to Paracas about 8:00 am. Your boat ride starts about 8:30. You'll be back to the bus about 10:00 am. I believe the official departure time is 10:15, but they work with the tour boats. They know who their passengers are.
The drive to Nasca takes between 3.5 and 4 hours depending on traffic.
The drive from the bus station to the airport is about 15 minutes. There are planes going up constantly. They go by weigth. Heavy stuff must be left at the airport desk. Literally the only thing they want you to take is your very small purse and camera.
The drive from Nasca to Lima takes about 7 hours.
There are no other snacks on the bus so bring them with you. There is one very small cart vendor outside the bus station at Nazca. Make sure you bring water with you.
Cruz del Sur usually shows several movies along the way either in Englished, or dubbed with English subtitles.

You'll be able to leave your bags at the boat company's office (usually a house on the bay)while you are in the boat. I would make sure you have luggage locks on. There isn't any room for much more than a backpack on the boat and it is highly likely it will be sprayed by sea water at some point.
Would it be possible to store your luggage at the hotel in Lima? They are quite used to tourist doing that.
You'll have to leave your luggage at the Nazca airport anyway.

Hi,
How does this following sound:
- 3.40am bus from Lima
- 7.20am arrive in Paracas
- Visit Islas Ballestas
- Rent a car
- Drive to Nazca
- Overflight over the Nazca Lines
- Drive back to Paracas, with a stop in Huacachina
- 8pm bus back to Lima
Is this at all feasible in a day? I know it's a stretch, but this is all the time I have before going to Cuzco.
Thank you very much in advance.
