Leftover Argentine Pesos - where to sell?

Hello everyone,

I've now returned from my Argentina trip and can't seem to find anyone who is willing to buy my leftover Argentinian pesos (have called several banks and airport currency exchanges in my Washington DC area).

Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Make another trip to Argentina. No one is going to want pesos anywhere else. The Argentinians will only take them because they have to.... Didn't you read about the blue rate before you went?

Not sure how many peso you have. If you'd like to donate them, take them on your next trip and donate them to the Unicef Change for Good Program (or similar) that some airlines participate in.

Next time you will know to have a shopping spree the day before you fly or at the airport shops.

I was counting on exchanging 1800 pesos back to US dollars at the bank at the airport but it was randomly closed for an hour. I wish I had time to use up the pesos at the duty free shops. If I can't find some way to get rid of them, the Unicef program sounds good. Thanks for the tip.

You could go to one of the parks in Recoleta and give money to the homeless people that you will see here and there ..
