I'm trying to put together a round trip ticket from LAX to Cochabamba, Bolivia using the internet. The best I seem to be able to do is get from Los Angeles to La Paz. I would appreciated suggestions on how to complete the La Paz/Cochabamba leg of the trip. Small airplane? Train? Bus? This ticket is for a friend of mine traveling by herself and fairly inexperienced as to travel, so the least complicated, the better. Thanks in advance for your help, and if it's just better for this trip to go through a travel agent, I'd appreciate knowing that, too.

Sorry. Evidently I can't proof read. It's "Cochabamba" without the extra "m".
The Bolivian airline AeroSur flies that route a few times a day. The flight is about 30 minutes. I've had good luck with them.

They can do E-ticketing through their website.
AeroSur does fly from Miami to Bolivia. To get to Cochabamba, it would be necessary to connect through La Paz or Santa Cruz. I think (but am not sure) that they can do codeshare arrangments with Delta, which would mean your friend could go Los Angeles-Atlanta-Miami on Delta, then AeroSur the rest of the way. A travel agent could answer that better than I can.
