Hello fellow foderites.
My husband and I are planning a trip for 12 days to south America in November, particularly Argentina.
Itinerary help is needed.
Based on what I have already read, I have allocated 5 days to Buenos Aries and thinking about 2-3 days Iguazu Falls.
Now I know we have limited time so wondering what we should do with the remaining barely 3 days.
RIO, Brazil or South Argentina the glaciers? Both from the amount of time and $$$$.
Please help.

In 12 days you have a sensible itinerary - 5 days is good for BA and likewise 2-3 for Iguazu is also fine.
Personally, for your remaining 3-4 days I would go to El Calafate / the glacier. In terms of time, it may take a bit longer to get to the glaciers as it will probably require a flight back through BA (I'm assuming in this amount of time you will not be taking any overnight buses), whereas you can fly from the Brazilian side of the falls direct to Rio.
My rationale is that I would always rather see more of a country than pay a flying visit to another on top. Plus, 3 days in Rio is cutting it very tight in terms of seeing what it has to offer (should be looking at a week in Rio really). On the other hand, 3 days is perfect for seeing the galcier and having a wander around El Calafate. El Calafate won't be cheap as November is high season down there. But Rio is expensive enough at all times of the year (most notably during Carnaval) so there may not be much difference there. So I say go to the glaciers, they are amazing!!
Good luck.
