International transfer Buenos Aires AEP

We have booked a flight from Santiago SCL to Porto Alegre POA with Aerolineas Argentinas operated by Austral Lineas Aerea. There is one stopover in Buenos Aires AEP. Stop over time between flights AR 2285 and AR2230 is 1 hr 15 min.
Is this enough time ?
I am not sure if our luggage is automatically transferred to the next flight or if we have to collect and check-in again

Welcome to the Fodor's Argentina forum, WayneMundy!

May I have the date of these flights?

My initial research indicates flight 2285 lands at our EZE international airport and flight 2230 leaves from the same airport, not from our AEP local airport.

IF that is the case and IF flight 2285 is on time, which is a BIG IF, the connection MAY work, but I would never have bought such a ticket, particularly from Aerolíneas, which is notoriously unpredictable.

Please let me know the date, so I can do some more research. I don't think your "luggage is automatically transferred to the next flight", but you maybe you could ask the airline, which may not be easy.

Obviously, I meant "maybe you could", not "you maybe you could".

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Flight date is Monday 25 January 2016.
Flight AR2285 departs Santiago SCL 13h40 and arrives Buenos Aires AEP 15h35.
Flight AR2230 departs Buenos Aires AEP 16h50 and arrives Porto Alegra POA 19h25.

The Aerolíneas website confirms what you indicate above.

So, IF 2285 is on time, you MAY be able to connect to 2230.

However, as said above, Aerolíneas is quite unreliable. New management starts in a few days, but the question is will they be able to improve significantly in only a month and a half?

Thanks for the advice. I have booked an earlier flight with almost 5 hour stopover.
