Iguassu & Rio Logistics

I’m traveling to Rio de Janeiro in a couple of weeks and I’m trying to find a website that sells packages to Iguassu Falls from Rio de Janeiro (Hotel+Flight). The prices that I’m getting at Kayak-Expedia etc. are costly and I’m apprehensive to go to Rio without having something in hand. Local Brazilian Companies are fine; I just need to get a reputable agency.

Also I’m planning to stay in Rio for 3 and half days, and I was looking for recommendations on a non beach related day trip. I was thinking heading to Petropolis or Teresopolis, would any of those be a good destination for a day trip? I’m open to any place relatively close to Rio, since it’s a day trip. I’m interested in photography, local culture, historic towns and food!

Any information on places where I can get a good deal to Iguassu from Rio de Janeiro and on day trips from Rio will be greatly appreciated!
