Help with flight from Cusco to Lima
I am trying to book a flight from Cusco to Lima. Basically all airlines seem to have the same fares, but I have read there is a foreigner "tax" for LAN and some flights on Avianca like from Lima to Cusco (in other words the lower fares do not apply to non-Peruvians). Does anyone know if there is an increased fare to be charged foreigners on this Avianca flight? I would just go with LC Peru but have heard they cancel more flights. Not sure if it is the same for Peruvian or Star Peru. Thanks.

Just an update in case it helps anyone else. I ended up booking with Avianca since they had fewer cancelled flights and better customer service. Avianca does offer two rates for Peruvian nationals that actually did not even show up on my computer. They are called econo and something that starts with a p. Flex, though, is a category of ticket that is unrestricted. Flex is also totally refundable at least until 24 hours before the flight and maybe even then. The problem for me was that if I purchased this through a third party vendor like Kayak there isn't really a way to confirm that I was getting a flex ticket. So I ended up getting it right from Avianca's website with the help of a consumer rep who walked me through it start to finish.
