Well, it also depends when are you planning your trip.
Between May/June you will have moderate temperatures, low precipitation but with the greenery and water flow at a peak from the rainy season which ends around April time.
Buenos Aires is a year round destination with rainfall fairly light and steady throughout the year.
In Iguassu, the falls are spectacular at any time of the year. It is cooler and drier from May to September. August being the clearest and driest month but if you want the most water then rainfall is at its highest in April and December so May and January will see the biggest flows of water.
Concerning Patagonia and its marvelous wildlife, the ideal time for this holiday is October to catch the whales and Elephant seals on the Valdes Peninsula as well as reasonable weather further south. If you travel in February or March, the weather in the far south will be (in theory) at its best and you will hit the best time of year for Killer Whales in Valdes. The proximity of the Andes mean that it quickly gets cold at night. Be prepared for rainfall.
To see penguins you will need to go in southern Patagonia. Stella Australis is one of the best way to discover stunning glaciers and come across colonies of penguins but also sea lions, elephant seals, cormorans and southern dolphins.
Aside from that, I would suggest you to discover Salta. Ask an Argentinian where to visit in their country and the most common answer is: Salta! Largely undiscovered by tourists, it’s a stunning region. You can visit it year round. Winter runs from May through September - this is the driest time of year.
The provinces of Salta and Jujuy were the first areas to be colonised by the Spanish as they came down from Bolivia, but the indigenous cultures of the region are still very much alive today. In fact, Salta is a world away from the more European city of Buenos Aires. In the northwest of Argentina you really know that you are in South America: the welcoming locals, the pretty village churches, the grand colonial city architecture and the mystical pre-Inca ruins all leave you in no doubt!
However, it is the scenery of this remarkable region that is the real star of the show. Expect beautiful and varied landscapes, from the vineyards of Cafayate to the lunar landscapes of the Purmamarca salt flats.

It is very easy to travel in Argentina by plane and bus. You don't need a tour, you need some good guidebooks.
What country do you live in? That will affect the answer to your question about insurance.
Please stop shouting (lose the caps).

Then for insurance see insuremytrip.com. But first check to see whether your medical insurance will cover you abroad. If so, you will still need evacuation/repatriation insurance. Your choice whether you get cancellation insurance - I never bother.
Only you can decide what you want to see - start with the picture guidebooks - Insight, DK, See It etc. You can fly from BA to Iguassu and on to either Valdez Peninsula or Patagonia. You can travel in Patagonia by bus.
