Looking at both of these lodges for an excursion into the Amazon. Hamadryade is easier to reach, but am concerned we will not get the feeling of truly being in the jungle/wilderness.
Both properties get very good reviews. Has anyone been to Hamadryade? Perhaps both places and could compare the two?

I struggled with the same question and ultimately decided to go with Hamadryade for my upcoming trip because:
- My prior trip was rather rustic, and I figured I'd be ready for some pampering by now, although with my trip drawing closer, I don't really care about the details, I'm just happy to be going somewhere!
- I'll most likely be going deeper into the Amazon on a possible future trip to Peru.
- The lodges I'm considering in Peru are a little smaller than Napo Wilderness. I prefer a more intimate setting.
- I get to visit the wildlife rescue center from Hamadryade.
On the downside, I'm not expecting to see much wildlife at Hamadryade because it's in a secondary forest rather than primary.

We have only been to Napo but the experience was amazing. You will definitely get the feeling of being in the jungle there. You can check out my trip report on this forum for more information.
