Half Day in Lima - Suggestions
Hello
On the last day of our Peru trip, we would have about 8 hours to spend in Lima as our flight from Juliaca reaches Lima at 1 30 pm and the flight out to the US is at 12 45 am. I am looking for suggestions on some nice sights to see during that time. Like a nice area by the Ocean. I would not be interested in Museums for the last day . I was reading about Miraflores and if I can't think of anything I would take a stroll by the beach. Are there any other recommended sights in Lima for that short time and/or specific areas in Miraflores which would be interesting?
What place should I ask the Taxi to drop me ? And finding taxis back to the airport shouldn't hopefully be an issue?

A good website for what to do in Lima is www.limaeasy.com
They have links to just about everything Lima.
You could shop, eat a seafood lunch along the coast at one of the Costa Verde restaurants such as Pardos, Rustica, or expensive Cala or Rosa Nautica. Do a double decker Mirabus tour, see the fountains aka Magical Water Circuit (Weds-Sun), walk along the malecon (not the beach). If you end ar Larcomar Mall there us a taxi stand there.
Or book a private tour for the day.
Head back to the airport 3 to 4 hours ahead.

We just did the same thing...Your flight arrives at 130p...we didn't get to Miraflores until 3pm....if you're flight is at 1245...you're going to want to leave at 930pm (ish)...not a lot of time...We walked down a few of the nice streets and then just went to a nice restaurant.....

We enjoyed the bar at La Rosa Nautica - try the Lima Sours (pisco sour variation) there. It is on a pier over the water and it was great to sit and watch the waves roll by and watch the parasailers glide by the cliffs.
