On Saturday Aug 29 we depart DFW on AA963 and arrive on Sunday Aug 30 at GRU at 7:40am. We then have a TAM flight to GIG at 9:30am. I'm hoping someone can help with a few logistics questions. GRU terminal information doesn't seem to be readily available online.
Will we arrive (on AA) and leave (on TAM) from the same terminal?
Will 2 hrs be enough time to retrieve our bags, go through customs and immigration, and make the TAM flight to GIG?
Thanks,
ovenbird

Yes, more than enough time. Now, when you get your bags, do not go upstairs to the TAM check-in counters. Use the TAM check-in on the same level as the baggage claim. I did it 2 weeks ago. It is much faster and convenient. Best of luck.
Thanks Franto! Do you know if AA and TAM are in the same terminal?
Negative--but pretty much all of the US airlines arrive in the same vicinity. I flew with United. Just follow the directions to immigration and baggage claim. You will then get out of the customs area as if you were arriving in Sao Paulo and there was someone there to pick you up. Just keep on going until you find a TAM desk on the same level. DO NOT go upstairs--you will be in the same check-in as the folks from the city who are trying to catch the domestic flights. Stay downstairs and do your transfer and then you will have to make it to your gate. It was my fist time at GRU but I found it easily. This was 3 weeks ago. You'll be OK. Best of luck.
