Four Days in Buenos Aires

I am going to be in Buenos Aires for a short four day trip.
I've been before, but we stayed for a month and rented an apartment.
This time I'm on my own and I am looking for advice in regard to a well located/safe/good value hotel. Also, are there still issues in BA with counterfeit currency? We had lots of issues last time.
What about the bank machines? Still problematic?Taxis services OK now?
Also, what are the current best things to do in such a short time.
I am leaving next week.
Thanks.

I was there a few days after a cruise. ATMs and taxis were fine. Low Withdrawal limit and high atm fee, but you can probably get away with just one withdrawal. CCs fairly widely accepted.

I will oet others comment on what to do!

Consider a Graffitti Tour and /or a Free Walking Tour.

Or the Big Yellow Bus tour. You can pick it up at the park on Libertador by the Hard Rock Cafe. Every time we had visitors, they would take that tour and all loved it. Even though we lived there, I still wanted to take it too but we never got around to it : (

I was in BA in September 2016 and everything was fine. The ATMs and taxis were okay. Given the tough economical situation, I was always on the lookout for anything strange and kept my money belt hidden. You should take the Big Yellow bus tour from the park on Libertador which is near the Hard Rock Café. You will see the main attractions of BA in this way.
