does anyone know of a nice hotel with a pool where my family could hang out for a long layover between returning from Puerto Maldonado and flying back to the US? We will have from about 1:30PM until 12:20AM (though I know we need to arrive back at the airport by 9:30). But that's still 8 hours. I think my three kids will be tired as it's the end of our trip and we will have gotten up very early to leave the rainforest, so I'm hesitant to do much of a city tour. What would be great is a spa-like hotel to shower, rest, swim, etc., preferably not TOO far from the airport. Any thoughts?
Day room, pool near Lima airport?

There's a Ramada just outside the terminal exit. It would take you maybe 60 seconds to walk there from the domestic arrivals section of the terminal. It's a standard airport hotel. I wouldn't call it "spa like" but it has decent rooms, a restaurant and a pool.
Go to www.ramada.com and do the search.
Jeff,
The proximity may be the best of all - thanks!
Anyone else?
