Cusco/Sacred Valley Guide Recommendation

If anyone is looking for a great travel agency in Cusco, check out Harmony Travel, specifically Pabel. They originally were recommended to us by someone at the front desk at the Marriott in Cusco (an amazing hotel, by the way, I also highly recommend!). I corresponded some with Pabel before we left the US for Peru, and we also met with him a few times while in Cusco. I'm usually a very detailed trip planner and plan/book everything myself, but this time, because of my husband's crazy busy work schedule lately, our trip to Peru was planned entirely about 2 weeks in advance, so we needed help once we arrived figuring out our plans and booking some things (airport transfers, flights, etc) last minute. Pabel was awesome and he (or another Harmony agent) was always in the lobby of the Marriott hotel from around 8am-8pm every day. Their mark-up was very minimal (for ex, for bus tickets on the InkaExpress the markup was about US$3 per person if I remember correctly). I corresponded with Pabel at this email address: [email protected].

Secondly, it was through Harmony that we met a wonderful guide named Remy (unsure of spelling and unsure of his last name). We toured Chinchero, Moray, and Maras with him one day and had such a great experience we ended up hiring him to take us to Pisaq and Ollantaytambo for the following day. He is from Cusco, was a professor at a university in Cusco at one point if I remember correctly, was very very knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. We had a great time with him and I don't hesitate to recommend him. I'm sorry I don't have a direct contact for him but, again, we booked him through Harmony Travel.

I don't necessarily always write reviews like this, but my husband and I had such a great experience I felt compelled!

This would seem to be the travel agency the OP is talking about:

If so, this is their e-mail: [email protected]

Have a great time in South America

You are quite welcome, donnahelene.

I hope one of these days you and DH will consider coming to my country (Argentina).

We used David Choque in Peru and he was fabulous. He is a kind, informative guide who was a pleasure to spend time with. If you do a search on his name you will find lots of recs for him. Youu may contact him at

The email that avrooster posted is the initial email I used to contact the company, but then all of my subsequent e-mail correspondence with Pabel was using the email address I listed above. If you just click on the link in my post, it may include the period at the end of the ".com" which obviously isn't part of the correct e-mail address (so the e-mail address should end as just ".com" and not ".com."). That's what I get for using proper grammar! So here's the email again without the period at the end to end the sentence: [email protected]
