Christmas in Buenos Aires
Hi there SA'n travellers!!
We are going to be in Buenos Aires on Christmas Day/Boxing Day, staying in a B&B.
What should we do while in BA? Ideas?!
Will anything be open shop/restaurant wise?

We stayed in BA in an apartment over the Christmas period and found the city to be really quiet. Shops and restaurants mostly closed on Xmas day but there was some partying going on on Xmas eve with a lot of fireworks down at Puerto Madero.
If you want to eat out either of those days, I suggest you find out in advance what restaurants are open and book way in advance.
Otherwise, things to do in BA that we enjoyed included:
Tango show at cafe Tortoni
Sunday market in San Telmo
Recoleta cemetery
Wandering around La Boca
Tigre delta
Hop over to Colonia del Sacremento
Eat steak - again and again!

Thanks crellston! We thought it might be quiet back that doesn't really bother us, as its probably the only time we have on our trip to relax a day or so!
Thanks for the suggestions! Puerto Madero looks like it will be a goer for Xmas eve.
And its a good thing I love steak! Any restaurant recommendations?

sammybuttons, just another BsAs Christmas thought - know that it might be difficult to get taxis at that time, so either plan a walking distance evening or speak with a driver ahead and pre-arrange for both directions....
