Chile Itinerary without Patagonia

Hello trusted travel advisors!

I am planning a 2 week trip to Chile in November with 2 friends. We have a pretty clear idea of what we want to see, but as we've been to Argentinian Patagonia and 2 of us are recovering from various injuries, we have decided to (regrettably) leave Chilean Patagonia out of our trip plan.

Currently we are planning:
4 nights in the Atacama Region
2 nights in Puerta Varas
1 night in Chiloe Island
3 nights in Pucon
2 nights in Valparaiso
2 nights in Santiago

The Lake Region is where we are having the least luck planning (this was was we substituted in when we decided to skip TDP). We want stunning scenery and a variety of outdoor activities. Moderate hiking, water sports, horseback riding would all be great for us.

If anyone can offer any advise on the amount of time to spent between Puerto Varas, Chiloe and Pucon - and the must-sees for each, it would be very appreciated.

On a related note - as we haven't solidified flights, if anyone thinks TDP is possible and affordable for those who just want to stay in the park and do a few short hikes 2-3 days plus maybe a horseback ride, please let me know!

Many thanks in advance,
Marie
