We are renting a car for a week before our cruise to go from GRU to Rio and environs, then down to Santos to catch a cruise, where we will turn in the rental car.
After the cruise, we need a way back to GRU and the cruiseline offered a bus for $67 per person. I know I can get a better deal than that locally, but I don't speak Portuguese, so I can't locate a local bus or shuttle van company to ask about how to hire them, and the cost in Reales.
Can you help me?
Thanks,
Tazzycat

Hello Tazzycat,
I don't know if you still need an answer, since your question was posted a long time ago. But here it goes...
As you don't speak Portuguese, in your place I would buy the bus ticket your cruiseline offered. A normal bus ticket from Santos bus station to Sao Paulo is around R$20, but you'll have to pay a taxi to get to/from the bus station (which will be around R$10 in Santos and probably a lot more in Sao Paulo). Definitely not worth the hassle. By buying on the cruiseline, you also have the comfort of having someone to speak to in English if anything goes wrong.
Please let me know if you need further info.
