It's not the rainy season and i's not cold.
The north of Brasil is a region so vast, the rainy season varies a lot: ACRE: november to march, AMAZONAS: december to june, AMAPÁ: january to july, RORAIMA: april to september, PARÁ: december to june, RONDÔNIA: october to april.
In the north-east coast north of Salvador it doesn't rain a lot, it is the most dry region in Brasil. The rainy season ends by june, and after a shower the sun usually reappears.
On the north-east coast south of Salvador the rainy season goes from may to june.
In the center, south-east and south we can say the rainy season goes from november to march, but there is still a little rain as far as may.
