Hi all,
My husband and I are thinking about going to Brazil in late August for 2 weeks. We are interested in some combination of city, beach and nature/wildlife. We are also mostly concerned with not running around too much. The question I keep coming up with is if it is possible to do this trip without taking any flights within the country if we fly into Rio or Sao Paulo. And advice and recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

You could easily spend two weeks in either Sao Paulo or Rio, there's so much to see in do in either city. Rio of course has the beach with the city and there are bits of nature you can see in both cities. I've seen monkeys in both cities and lots of birds.
If you want more serious wildflife experiences, like the Pantanal or the Amazon, of course you will need to fly.
What guidebook are you using currently to plan your trip?
Thank you for the tips! i have a lonely planet at the moment...
