Who is a super great guide for Salta and the Northwet? There are certainly several but there is unlikely to be a better guide than Angie (also known as Flinstone, Gina, and can be reached at angie_guide@hotmail.com. We have just returned from five fabulous weeks in Argentina. Half of the time we were on a tour. Half of the time we were on our own--and much of that time was with Salta based Angie. Language wasn't the issue. I know enough Spanish to get my ideas across and to read. What was significant was what Angie knew and could do. We were in the area of Salta, Cafayate, Purmamarca and Humahuaca. From what we had read about Angie we expected great suggestions about restaurants and major tourists spots. We were also delighted that we could just relax and enjoy all the splendid scenery while Angie drove through canyons and high mountains with many curves. We were astounded by all the places whose history she could recount. We were amazed by the incredible number of people in the middle of nowhere that she knew. Angie knows the northwest intimately. In addition to the hard work of driving she greatly enriched our trip through her knowledge and care.

Thank you, Linda!
When someone asks for a guide to our NW, I always suggest researching "Angie", both here and on Trip Advisor.
The comments about her speak for themselves.
When should we expect you back in our country, Linda?
Thank you, Linda, It was a pleasure, as a native to show my country very proudly! Thank you Avrooster. I think Linda will come back one day. Phil must come for a hike in the NW and a tango dance, he promised! And Linda will learn some empanadas recipe in SALTA...
Flintstones
Absolutely!!Angie is THE BEST guide ever. My husband and I and two of our good friends from Montana had her take us north to Purmamarca, the salt flats, Humahuaca and into Bolivia. We spent 3 wonderful days learning soooooo much about the country and seeing such astounding sights I can't imagine trying to do this trip on our own. We would have just missed too much without her knowledge and experience.
Every guide we have now on any of our trips is always compared to Angie and they all fall short.
