While I can understand the landscape in each of these places is unique I'd like to know how the three compare. I have been to Soussulvei and Wadi Rum and I am debating if I should include Altacama on my upcoming trip to Chile. Any comments from fodorites who have been to any of these destinations will be appreciated. Thanks.
Altacama compared to Soussuvlei, Namibia and Wadi Rum, Jordan

I don't know the places you mention, but I went into Google images and had a look. Offhand I would say that they are missing volcanoes, salt flats and altiplano lakes and, of course, the tiny Andean towns of the region. Have a look at San Pedro in Google images to get an idea.
I have been to all of these places. Atacama offers a wide variety of ecosystems and activities. I have been several times. Many great hikes of variable length.
