Very little news since this apparently just happened this afternoon:
A 7.1 earthquake has struck southern Chile about 96 km (60 mi) northwest of Temuco in the northern part of the Lake District. Temuco is about 400 miles south of Santiago. No widespread tsunami activity is expected.

Downgraded to 6.9 and from "terremoto" to "sismo". No damage to speak of and described as a medium sized event. Not the top item on the news today.
