3 Days in Santiago - Advice on itinerary

We will have 3 days in Santiago 18-21 October and we plan to go on 2 hiking tours :
- Morado Hike on Cajon del Maipo Area (5hour hike up to 2600m)
and
- Juncal Hike to Portillo area (7 hour hike up to 2150m )
We also plan 1 day tour of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar
However I am a bit concerned that the weather might be still a bit cold. Please can you share your opinion/experience and may be suggest alternatives.

The weather has been all over the place this Spring. We have had days of 12C and tomorrow will be 27C. In general though the weather is alright for what you want to do. What you might run into at altitude is more snow than usual for the time of year. If you are hiking with a guide, they will know what the present conditions are.

I was there last week. Santiago, Valparaiso and Vina Del Mar are in low to mid 70's. It's beautiful

Except the weekend was not so good! The next few days are looking alright, semi-cloudy at most and temps around 20C.

@mstm, how was your trip? I am going to Chile in December and will have a couple free days in Santiago. The hikes you mentioned sound great, I am interested in doing one of them. Did you book these hikes as a tour, or did you get there by public transportation? Which did you like the best? Thanks!
